Tres Rios Nature Festival is a two-day event. This FREE outdoor festival showcases the rich diversity of wildlife habitat, history and culture of the Gila River drainage, which is made up of the Gila, Salt and Agua Fria Rivers. From guided bird tours, canoeing on the river, archery, fishing and learning about Southwest wildlife, there is something for everyone during the  best time of year to enjoy the Arizona weather!

 

COVID-19 UPDATE: 

We are currently monitoring the CDC Guidelines for large gatherings for direction on how to safely conduct Tres Rios Nature Festival.  We are currently proceeding as scheduled with some slight modifications like more distance between exhibitors and additional hand sanitation stations.  We encourage attendees to wear face masks and to stay home if they are not feeling well.  Any changes to this plan will be posted here and emailed to all registered participants.  For more details on our COVID-19 Event safety procedures CLICK HERE.

Arizona Game & Fish provide all the equipment for any attendees to try their hand at fishing, archery, canoeing, and kayaking.  We even have volunteers on hand to help bait your hook!

FREE Guided Bird Hikes

Let the folks at Sonoran Audubon teach you all the tricks to spotting beautiful birds in the Tres Rios Area.  The Clapper Rail and Least Bittern, often hard to find birds are seen with regularity in this area.  With more than 150 different species of birds you are sure to see some new favorites.

Nature Center

The Nature Center features 30-45 minute interactive talks with experts where participants can interact with variety of animals, flood control models, and other educational sessions.

If you are a nature lover you can appreciate how important it is to protect beautiful areas like the Base & Meridian Wildlife Area.  The Tres Rios Festival and our partners are committed to keeping this area clean for year round use.
