The Arizona Riparian Council (ARC) was formed in
1986 as a result of the increasing concern over the
alarming rate of loss of Arizona’s riparian areas.

communities. The purpose of the Council is to
provide for the exchange of information on the

perennial or ephemeral surface or subsurface water

platform mound and ball court, replicated house, an
interpretive garden of the agricultural system the
Hohokam people maintained as well as representations
